By Car
Čovići , the green heart of Croatia, is just round 600 km south of Munich/Germany, in 500 km distance from Vienna/Austria, 900 km distance from Zurich/Switzerland, 600 km distance from Rome/Italy, 400 km distance from Venice/Italy, 1.400 km distance from Amsterdam/The Netherlands and 1.500 km distance from Paris/France.
After passing the borderline to Croatia, take highway A1 in direction of Split and leave the highway at exit "Otočac".
Stay on the main street, pass the city Otočac till you get to a roundabout. Take first exit, pass the airport and you reach Čovići after 1 km.
The recently built, modern streets are suitable for vehicles of any kind. The Croatian highway A1 was finished beginning of 2009 with doublesided tunnel sections. Speed limit on Croatian highways is 130 km/h for cars.
City of Otočac is next to Čovići. Otočac is the highway entrance to A1, it's appr. 5 km from Čovići. The next district town Gospić is round 40 km away. Croatia's capital Zagreb is appr. 140 km in the North, industrial and harbour city Rijeka in the west apprx. 100 km away and Zadar in the south appr. 140 km away.
By Aircraft
The International airport Zagreb ZRAČNA LUKA is the gateway to southeast Europe. Zagreb can be reached with Croatia airlines, who is part of Star Alliance network.
We recommend to take a rental car to Čovići, driving time is about an hour.
There is a local airport in Čovići-Otočac, Code LDRO. This local airport can be apporached with sports airplanes up to 20 passengers.
